G. Harinath

G. Harinath graduated from SVUCE (1973-1978), the first batch with semester system. He then attended IIT, Bombay (1978-1980) and obtained Masters in ECE, where his name changed to H. Garudadri. Hari was a research engineer at IIT, Kanpur (1980-1982), where he worked on a wireless communications system for coal mines. He attended University of British Columbia, Vancouver, B.C., Canada (1983-1988) and obtained Ph.D in EE. Hari worked in Vancouver (1988-1991), Montreal (1991-1994), Boston (1994-1997) in various speech and audio related technologies. Hari has been with Qualcomm, San Diego, USA since then, working on speech, audio, video and multimedia technologies. During the last two years, Hari has been focusing on biomedical signal processing, with applications in Wireless Health. Hari has over 35 publications and over 35 granted and pending patents.
